Hello to all,

I was hoping to get some information or links that I could use to show Middle School students how math is connected to real world.
I am a newly certified teacher and don't have formal education on "Education Degree". I have a bachelor in business. And as a career changer and a possibility of being called for an interview, I would like to get an insight of how I could implement real world situations while teaching students maths.

I also had a chance to review the Free classroom Management course offered by Adam. Its really good. But on my second thought as I want to be a math teacher, what kind of resources or classroom management technique could I use to make my students more enthusiastic to learn Math.

Is there a book that I could read or links that I can use to create real world situations. Or hands on experience to teach my lessons.

Thanks in advance

Your first question answers your second question  Wink

A great classroom management technique for any subject is to make "real-world" connections.  I am always surprised at how well my classroom management college stduent do at this.  Many of them use unitedstreaming video clips to both spark interest and make real world connections.
